Built for Mom, perfected for you.
As SensiBuy's sole developer, I would consider
myself
a savvy shopper. If I can spend a few minutes looking for cheaper
listings to save myself a few dollars, I'll do it every time. My
mom? Not so much. The problem is, if my mom spent a few minutes
looking for cheaper listings, she'd save zero dollars and have
wasted a few minutes. With the amount of bloat and obfuscation in
the current online space, shopping for a good deal has become
increasingly difficult. Luckily for my mom, if I can spend a few
minutes looking for cheaper listings to save her a few
dollars, I'll do it every time.
At some point, the "can
you find this cheaper for me?" calls became so frequent, they
evolved into her sending me a link with zero context, prompting me
to return a link after a few minutes. I love my mom, but the
tedium grew. It didn't take too much longer before I decided to
simply automate the search methods I utilized to snag her a deal
every time she asked for one.
After watching the
earliest version of SensiBuy fuel my dear mother's shopping
addiction to an affordable tune, I knew it had to be shared.
Before doing so, I fleshed out the search customization options,
massively expanded the supported retailers, and added some
much-needed polish. Now, anyone can shop online sensibly- the way
I do.
NOTE
I made SensiBuy to enable my mom, but I use it too! I think it's a tool everyone should use- even the most savvy can save time.
Don't let your technically challenged family and friends overpay online.
How does SensiBuy find me deals?
We search the web, just like you! Well... sort of.
SensiBuy
opens multiple concurrent search windows in the background with
the parameters you input (title and price), and formats the
results for your convenience.
Zero third-party API
calls or secret processes; you can open the search windows at
any time to see what's happening.
Are you selling my data?
No. We don't even gather your data, and never will. Everything is stored locally, so there's no need to even sign up with an email.
How we keep SensiBuy free.
Traditional search and comparison tools often prioritize sellers who pay for better placement. We hate that. SensiBuy operates on a user-first affiliate model. This means we only receive a commission from a retailer if you decide to purchase a product through one of our links. Not every link we gather is an affiliate link since SensiBuy finds you the cheapest listings available, but if that better deal happens to have an affiliate program, then SensiBuy gets credit—at no cost to you. We will never refresh your page to take credit for doing nothing and telling you that you have the "best deal!" like the many dubious coupon-finding tools available (for example, the infamous extension that starts with H- and ends with -oney).
SensiBuy is deeply committed to remaining a free tool. There are no monthly subscriptions, no "pro" tiers, and absolutely no selling of your personal shopping data to third-party advertisers. The profit from affiliate commissions will allow us to maintain the service as online retailers gradually change their structures. The best thing you can do to support us is to use and share SensiBuy.
